Bit PZ 3 FELO — 50 mm, cross-head Pozidriv PZ3, tin-coated
Bit PZ 3 FELO — 50 mm, cross-head Pozidriv PZ3, tin-coated
FELO PZ 3 screwdriver bit, 50 mm length, offers a Pozidriv (PZ3) cross-head profile with a tin-coated finish. Designed for use with standard 1/4" hex bit holders, this bit is suitable for both powered drivers and manual bit holders. The precise geometry provides reliable engagement with Pozidriv screws commonly used in woodwork, furniture assembly and construction, while the tin coating helps reduce friction and resist corrosion during regular use.
The PZ3 profile ensures accurate insertion and reduces the risk of cam-out, improving screw driving consistency. At 50 mm, the bit balances reach and control, allowing access to recessed screw heads while remaining stable in a bit holder. The tin coating gives additional surface protection and smoother operation, which helps extend service life and maintain a secure fit over repeated cycles.
Insert the 1/4" hex shank of the FELO PZ 3 bit into a compatible bit holder or chuck until it locks securely. Position the bit in the Pozidriv screw recess so the tip fully engages the cross slots before applying torque. Start at low speed or light manual pressure to ensure correct alignment, then increase torque as needed. For powered drivers, select an appropriate torque setting to avoid overdriving or stripping the screw head. After use, wipe the bit clean and store it in a dry bit organizer to preserve the tin coating and prevent corrosion.
For best results, use the PZ3 bit with Pozidriv-designated screws and avoid using it on Phillips screws to prevent premature wear. Regularly inspect the tip for rounding and replace the bit when fit becomes loose to maintain secure, damage-free fastening.
