Brass Elbow 2" FERRO K08Z – 2-inch threaded plumbing elbow, brass fitting
FERRO K08Z is a 2-inch threaded brass elbow designed for plumbing and heating installations. This 90° brass fitting connects compatible threaded pipes to change flow direction while maintaining a compact joint. The fitting is made from brass to provide mechanical strength and corrosion resistance in potable water and heating systems where threaded connections are used.
The 2" FERRO K08Z brass elbow offers a durable threaded connection with good resistance to corrosion and scaling. Its 90° angle allows straightforward redirection of pipe runs without the need for additional adapters. The brass construction supplies solid mechanical properties and a reliable seal when combined with appropriate sealing materials on the threads.
This threaded brass elbow is intended for use with compatible threaded pipes and fittings; it is not suitable for soldered, press-fit, or push-fit connections without appropriate adapters. It may not be ideal for systems requiring very high temperature or aggressive chemical resistance beyond typical potable water and heating media, where alternative materials or special alloys could be required.
Prepare the mating threaded pipes by cleaning threads and applying an appropriate thread sealant (such as PTFE tape or liquid thread sealant) compatible with potable water if required. Hand-start the elbow onto the male thread, then tighten with wrenches to the required torque to form a leak-tight joint without deforming the fitting. Ensure alignment of connected components to avoid undue stress on the joint. Inspect for leaks after pressurizing the system and retighten if necessary within recommended limits.
Use appropriate thread sealing material for the application and avoid over-tightening to prevent damage. For critical systems, follow local plumbing codes and manufacturer guidance when selecting and installing threaded brass fittings.
