Brass reducer fitting FERRO R12Z, 2x 1½" (two female threaded connections)
Brass reducer fitting FERRO R12Z, 2x 1½" (two female threaded connections)
FERRO R12Z is a brass reducer fitting with two 1½" female threaded connections designed for inline coupling of pipes or fittings of the same nominal size where a reinforced or compact connection is required. Made from brass, the fitting combines corrosion resistance and mechanical strength suitable for plumbing and heating systems in residential and commercial installations. The straightforward design ensures compatibility with standard 1½" threaded components and facilitates secure, leak-resistant joints when installed correctly.
The brass construction offers natural resistance to corrosion and good durability under normal operating conditions. Female threaded ports provide a simple, tool-friendly method of joining pipes and components without welding or soldering. The reducer geometry enables secure union of same-size threaded parts while providing additional mechanical reinforcement at the joint. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for installations where space is limited.
Ensure mating threads are clean and free of debris before assembly. Apply an appropriate thread sealant such as PTFE tape or a compatible pipe joint compound to the male threads of the mating component. Hand-start the fitting onto the male thread, then tighten with suitable tools until a secure, leak-tight joint is achieved without over-torquing. After installation, pressurize the system and inspect the joint for leaks. If required, make small adjustments to the tightening to eliminate any seepage.
Use compatible 1½" male threaded components and appropriate thread sealants to ensure leak-free connections. Avoid excessive torque during tightening to prevent thread damage. For systems carrying potable water, use materials and sealants approved for drinking water. Follow local plumbing codes and, where necessary, consult a qualified installer for installations under pressure or in critical systems.
