Filament Fiberlogy Nylon PA12+GF15 1.75 mm 0.5 kg – Red
Fiberlogy Nylon PA12+GF15 1.75 mm 0.5 kg in Red is a reinforced polyamide filament formulated for FDM/FFF 3D printing. Containing 15% glass fiber, this PA12-based material offers increased stiffness and strength compared with standard nylon filaments while retaining the chemical and wear resistance typical of polyamide. Supplied on a 0.5 kg spool with a 1.75 mm diameter, the filament is intended for functional prototypes, mechanical parts and jigs where improved rigidity and dimensional stability are required.
The glass-fiber reinforcement improves tensile strength, flexural modulus and resistance to deformation under load compared to unfilled PA12, enabling more durable and load-bearing printed parts. The filament maintains the surface finish and chemical resistance properties of nylon while offering better creep resistance. Its 1.75 mm diameter supports wide compatibility with typical desktop and industrial FDM/FFF extruders when correct printing parameters are applied.
Load the filament into a printer capable of processing PA12-based composite materials and ensure the extruder and hotend are compatible with abrasive-filled filaments. Use printing temperatures and bed temperatures appropriate for PA12 and adjust retraction, print speed and cooling to reduce stringing and warping. A hardened or wear-resistant nozzle is recommended to limit wear from glass fibers. Dry the filament before printing if it has absorbed moisture, as polyamide is hygroscopic and moisture can affect surface quality and mechanical properties.
To achieve reliable results, use a heated build plate, control ambient chamber temperature where possible, and apply settings optimized for composite nylon: higher extrusion temperature than standard PLA, moderate print speeds, and reduced cooling. Post-processing such as annealing can further stabilize dimensions when required. Store the spool sealed with desiccant to maintain filament dryness and consistent print quality.
