Fiberlogy PCTG 1.75 mm 0.75 kg – Black (PCTG Black) is a glycol-modified copolyester filament formulated for FDM/FFF 3D printers that use 1.75 mm filament. The material combines higher toughness and improved chemical resistance compared with standard PETG, while retaining good dimensional stability and moderate flexibility. The 0.75 kg spool in black provides a practical amount of material for functional parts, housings and prototypes where strength, impact resistance and ease of printing are required.
PCTG filament delivers a balance of mechanical strength and ductility, offering better impact resistance than many basic PET-based filaments. It prints smoothly on most desktop FDM/FFF machines, with good layer adhesion and reduced tendency to brittle failure. The glycol modification improves clarity in transparent variants and contributes to chemical resistance; in the black formulation this results in a durable, serviceable surface for external components and enclosures. The 1.75 mm diameter ensures wide compatibility with standard extruders.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible FDM/FFF printer according to the printer manufacturer's instructions. Use typical PCTG/PETG print settings as a starting point: heated bed and moderate nozzle temperature, adjusted based on your specific printer and nozzle. Ensure the filament spool can rotate freely and that the filament path is free of sharp bends. Allow printed parts to cool gradually to reduce internal stresses and to preserve dimensional accuracy.
Start with manufacturer-recommended nozzle and bed temperatures for PCTG materials, enable appropriate cooling for bridging, and calibrate extrusion multiplier to achieve consistent layer lines. For best adhesion use a clean build surface or appropriate adhesion aid. Store the spool in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant to maintain print quality over time.
