Sheet Sander Fieldmann FDB 2004-E 150 W 11,000 RPM 187×90 mm Black/Green
Fieldmann FDB 2004-E is a compact sheet sander designed for fine sanding and surface finishing tasks. With a 150 W motor and a free running speed of up to 11,000 RPM, this sander operates on 230 V AC and uses a rectangular sanding plate sized 187 × 90 mm. The tool is lightweight (1 kg) and shaped for ergonomic handling; it includes a trigger lock, easy-to-release retaining springs for quick sandpaper changes and the option to connect a vacuum cleaner for dust extraction. The sander is finished in black and green and is intended for leveling, paint removal and fine sanding of wood and composite materials.
The Fieldmann FDB 2004-E combines a compact design with a relatively high no-load speed for effective material removal and smooth finishes. Low weight and an ergonomic housing reduce operator fatigue during extended use. Sandpaper replacement is tool-free and fast thanks to two retaining springs, and a trigger lock improves comfort for continuous sanding. Dust extraction capability via a vacuum connection helps maintain a cleaner work area and improves visibility of the sanding surface.
Fit an appropriately sized sheet of sandpaper to the 187 × 90 mm plate by unlocking the two retaining springs at the plate ends, inserting the paper and re-securing the springs. Connect the sander to a 230 V power outlet and, if desired, attach a vacuum cleaner to the dust port for extraction. Switch on the sander and engage the trigger; use the trigger lock for continuous operation. Move the sander with steady, even strokes across the workpiece, applying light pressure and allowing the tool's motion to perform the material removal. After use, switch off and disconnect power before changing sandpaper or performing maintenance.
For best results, start with a coarser grit to remove old finishes or level imperfections, then progress to finer grits for a smooth surface. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as dust mask, eye protection and hearing protection because the tool produces dust and has a sound power level of 87 dB. When sanding delicate edges or thin veneers, reduce pressure and keep the sander moving to avoid over-sanding.
