The FiiO DM15 R2R White Personal CD player is a compact portable audio device designed for on-the-go listening and desktop use. The player features an LCD display for track and playback information, button-based volume control and a single-disc tray for standard audio CDs. The DM15 R2R integrates multiple functions — CD servo, USB DAC, R2R module and Bluetooth — coordinated by an onboard microcontroller for stable operation. Its compact footprint and lightweight construction make it portable while retaining desktop-level features. Increased single-ended and balanced output power provides improved driving capability that helps maintain dynamic range and headroom with more demanding headphones. The inclusion of modern Bluetooth codecs (SBC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX-LL and aptX Adaptive) ensures flexible wireless connectivity with compatible devices.
Place a standard audio CD into the single-disc tray and close it to begin playback; track information and playback status appear on the LCD. Use the physical buttons to control volume and navigate tracks. When connected via USB to a computer, select the DM15 as the computer’s audio output to use it as a USB DAC. To use Bluetooth, enable pairing mode on the player and select it from your source device; ensure the device supports one of the available codecs for optimal performance. Use appropriate cables and balanced or single-ended headphones according to the player’s outputs.
For best results, use high-quality shielded USB cables when operating the unit as a DAC and choose headphones with impedance and sensitivity that match the player’s increased output power. When streaming over Bluetooth, select devices that support aptX HD or aptX Adaptive to benefit from higher bandwidth wireless audio. Keep the player on a stable, vibration-free surface during CD playback to avoid read errors.
