Fischer 53100 Universal Silicone Sealant Transparent 310 ml -40 to 180 °C Operating Time 10 min

The Fischer 53100 Universal Silicone Sealant Transparent 310 ml is a high-quality sealing solution designed for various professional and domestic applications. Supplied in a standard 310 ml cartridge, this transparent silicone sealant provides a permanently elastic and durable bond across multiple materials. It features a reliable operating time of 10 minutes for convenient smoothing and positioning, and operates effectively within a wide temperature range from -40 to 180 °C. With its fungicide properties and excellent resistance to wear and moisture, it ensures long-lasting protection in demanding environments.

Advantages

This universal silicone sealant delivers outstanding processing properties, allowing for smooth application and easy tooling. The formulation includes specialized fungicide agents that provide long-term mold protection, making it particularly hygienic for damp environments. It accommodates a permissible total deformation of 25 percent, ensuring it handles high-stress expansion joints with ease while maintaining a powerful hold on smooth substrates. Furthermore, its high abrasion resistance protects the sealed areas during routine cleaning, and the transparent finish ensures a neat, unobtrusive appearance.

Suitable for

• Sealing corner, movement, and connection joints in sanitary areas and kitchens
• General construction and repair tasks requiring a flexible waterproof bond
• Waterproofing applications on smooth surfaces to prevent moisture penetration
• High-stress expansion joints subject to movement

When it may not be suitable

This product may not be suitable for applications requiring painting over, as silicone sealants generally do not accept paint coatings. It is also not recommended for structural glazing or use on sensitive natural stones where edge staining might occur without proper priming.

Cut the cartridge tip, attach the nozzle, cut it to the desired bead size, and insert the cartridge into a standard caulking gun. Apply the silicone sealant evenly into the joint, ensuring complete contact with the joint flanks. Smooth the sealant within the 10-minute operating time using a suitable tool moistened with soapy water to achieve a tight seal and professional finish. Allow the product to cure fully before exposing it to mechanical stress or moisture.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the minimum application temperature of 5 °C is met in your workspace
• Confirm that the transparent finish matches the aesthetic requirements of your project
• Check that the substrate material is compatible with standard silicone sealants
• Ensure adequate ventilation in the work area during application and curing

Usage recommendations

Always wear appropriate protective gloves during application, ensure the workspace is well-ventilated, and test the sealant on a small hidden area if unsure about substrate compatibility.
