Acrylic sealant Fischer 512185
Fischer 512185 is a white acrylic sealant designed for repairing and filling coarse surfaces on internal and external walls. It adheres to materials such as concrete, gypsum, wood, masonry, brick and PVC, and is suitable for sealing connection joints with little movement, dry internal construction joints, and window and shutter connections. The product is low-odour, non-corrosive, and can be applied at temperatures from +5 °C to +40 °C. Once cured it remains temperature-resistant between -20 °C and +75 °C and is supplied in a 310 ml cartridge.
The pitted, structured formulation is tailored for coarse surfaces and provides a uniform appearance on rough plaster and similar substrates. The acrylic sealant can be painted and plastered over, enabling good adhesion of standard paints and plasters and allowing straightforward post-treatment. It has good resistance to UV, weathering and ageing, which permits use both indoors and outdoors for long-lasting joints.
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose particles. Cut the cartridge tip and fit to a standard sealant gun, then extrude the sealant into the joint, pressing it to ensure good contact with the substrate. Smooth the surface as required before skin formation. After curing the sealant can be plastered or painted with standard paints following the paint manufacturer’s instructions.
Apply at ambient and substrate temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C. For best results on coarse or highly porous substrates, slightly overfill and tool the sealant to achieve the desired textured appearance. Allow full cure before subjecting joints to mechanical stress or finishing coats.
