The Fischer TherMax 10 stand-off insulation fixing is designed for anchoring light external fixtures through ETICS (external thermal insulation composite systems) without creating a thermal bridge. The stud screw with a glass-fibre-reinforced cone is driven through the plaster layer into the insulation and engages with the universal plug UX in the substrate. An anti-cold (thermal barrier) cone at the tip of the stud screw separates the outer and inner fixing and holds the external component. The TherMax 10 is suitable for fixing lights, letterboxes and lightning conductors into concrete, aerated concrete and masonry made from solid or perforated brick.

How to use

Drill a hole through the plaster and insulation to the required depth, insert the universal UX plug into the substrate (unless mounting directly into timber), position the stand-off cone and rotate the stud screw so the glass-fibre-reinforced cone cuts into the ETICS and engages the plug. Tighten the screw until the anti-cold cone seats and the outer fixing is held at the required stand-off distance. Follow drill-depth and embedment recommendations for the chosen substrate and ensure load-bearing capacity before applying the intended load.

Usage recommendations
