Fischer 531762 Brad Point Drill Bit 5.5 mm
The Fischer SDS Plus II Pointer 5.5 mm drill bit is a high-performance tool engineered for creating precise, approval-compliant holes in concrete, masonry, and natural stone. Featuring a specialized centring tip and a robust Power Breaker design, this drill bit ensures high-speed drilling and exceptional accuracy. The advanced Vario KVS helix geometry facilitates efficient dust removal, while the reinforced chamfers minimize the risk of jamming when encountering steel reinforcements within concrete structures.
The optimized geometry of this drill bit significantly enhances drilling speed while reducing physical effort and tool wear. The integrated Power Breaker creates micro-cracks in the material, which noticeably accelerates the drilling process. Furthermore, the two-flute spiral design ensures optimal transportation of drilling dust, contributing to a longer service life. The inclusion of a precise centring tip prevents the bit from slipping on smooth surfaces, and the PGM certification guarantees that every hole created meets the strict requirements for secure anchor installations.
This drill bit is specifically designed for hard mineral materials and is not suitable for drilling into wood, metal, or plastic. Using this tool on materials other than masonry, stone, or concrete may result in poor performance, excessive heat generation, or damage to the drill bit tip.
Insert the drill bit into the SDS Plus chuck of your rotary hammer drill until it clicks into place. Ensure the drill is set to the hammer-drilling mode. Place the centring tip at the desired mark and apply steady, moderate pressure. Allow the drill bit to do the work, maintaining a straight angle to the surface. Periodically retract the bit slightly during deep drilling to assist in clearing dust from the hole.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety goggles and hearing protection, when operating a rotary hammer drill. Ensure the drill bit is cool before handling it immediately after use, as it may become hot during operation.
