Fischer 531837 Brad Point Drill Bit 18 mm
The Fischer SDS Plus II Pointer 18/250/300 is a high-performance hammer drill bit engineered for creating precise, approval-compliant holes in concrete, masonry, and natural stone. Featuring an 18 mm diameter and a robust design, this tool is optimized for demanding construction and renovation tasks where accuracy and speed are essential. The drill bit utilizes advanced geometry to ensure efficient material removal and reliable performance during heavy-duty drilling operations.
The drill bit features an optimized geometry that facilitates rapid drilling progress while simultaneously minimizing wear and the physical effort required by the user. The integrated Power Breaker technology effectively fractures concrete, leading to a significant increase in drilling speed compared to standard bits. Furthermore, the inclusion of enlarged reinforcement chamfers significantly reduces the risk of the bit jamming when encountering steel reinforcements within concrete. The two-flute spiral design ensures optimal dust removal, which contributes to a longer service life and consistent performance. A specialized centering tip allows for simple and accurate spot drilling, preventing the bit from wandering on smooth surfaces, while PGM certification guarantees the creation of precise holes necessary for secure anchor installations.
This drill bit is specifically designed for hammer drilling in mineral materials like concrete and stone. It is not suitable for drilling in wood, metal, or plastic, as the hammer action and tip geometry are not optimized for these materials.
Insert the drill bit into the SDS Plus chuck of your rotary hammer drill until it clicks into place. Ensure the drill is set to the hammer-drilling mode. Position the centering tip at the desired mark and apply steady, moderate pressure while maintaining a perpendicular angle to the surface. Allow the drill bit to perform the work, periodically pulling it back slightly to clear dust from the hole if drilling deep sections. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and ear protection, during operation.
For the best results and to extend the life of the drill bit, avoid applying excessive lateral force during drilling. Ensure the drill bit is allowed to cool down if drilling multiple deep holes in succession to maintain the integrity of the tip.
