Wall plug Fischer DUOTEC 10 50 mm
The Fischer DUOTEC 10 wall plug is a nylon gravity toggle anchor designed for high tensile and transverse loads in panel building materials and solid substrates. With a total length of 50 mm and a required drill hole diameter of 10 mm, the DUOTEC 10 provides secure fastening in cavities as well as performance similar to an expansion plug in solid materials. The product accepts screws from 4.5 mm diameter and is supplied in boxes of 20 pieces in a grey colour for a discreet finish.
The two-component nylon toggle combines a short toggle element with a flexible stainless steel screw seat to deliver load-bearing performance while allowing installation in narrow and insulated cavities. The anchor can be pre-installed without the plug falling into the drill hole. Installation requires no cutting of the plasterboard, preserving its strength because the toggle folds automatically behind the panel. The flexible screw seat permits use with wood and chipboard screws as well as metric hooks and threaded rods with lock nuts.
Drill a 10 mm diameter hole to the required depth through the panel or into the substrate. Insert the DUOTEC plug into the hole; the design allows pre-installation without the plug falling into the cavity. Drive an appropriate screw, hook or threaded rod into the stainless steel screw seat. As the screw is tightened, the toggle element folds out or expands behind the panel to form a load-bearing anchor. In solid materials the plug behaves like an expansion anchor.
Use screws or threaded rods appropriate to the load and substrate, and observe recommended embedment depths and edge distances for safe fastening. For heavy or safety-critical applications, consult load tables or a structural engineer.
