The Fischer FAZ II Plus steel bolt anchor is designed for demanding fastening tasks in concrete and masonry. Made for high tensile strengths and dynamic loads, this zinc-plated M16 screw anchor (product code 564597) is suitable for anchoring railings, cable trays, consoles and machinery. The anchor’s design enables immediate loading after installation and supports a range of construction applications in cracked and uncracked concrete as well as in solid masonry.

Advantages

The FAZ II Plus allows faster and easier assembly because drill hole cleaning is not required for diameters M8–M24. Multiple approvals for substrates (concrete C12/15–C80/90, steel-fibre concrete, solid sand-lime brick) expand its fields of use. Updated ETA assessments increase tensile capacities, often reducing the number of required fixing points. For diameters M16–M24 the ETA confirms suitability for dynamic loads, making the anchor suitable for lifting platforms, conveyor belts and pumps. Additional test reports and ETA evidence high load behaviour in fire, while independent assessment indicates service lives up to 120 years for some diameters (M10–M16). The anchor can absorb seismic loads of performance categories C1 and C2 (M10–M24), and variable embedment depths permit millimetre-accurate adjustment to loads.

How to use

Drill the hole to the required diameter and depth, position the anchor either pre-positioned or push-through, and tighten the cone bolt to the prescribed installation torque. As torque is applied, the cone pulls into the expansion sleeve and expands it against the drill hole wall; the anchor reaches its approved setting once the installation torque is achieved. For series installations, use the recommended FABS or FA-ST II setting tools. When seismic performance is required, install the filling disc FFD to close the annular gap. For dynamic applications, apply the specified dynamic set filled with an approved injection mortar (compressive strength ≥ 50 N/mm², e.g. FIS V Plus, FIS EM Plus, FIS HB or FIS SB) after setting.

Usage recommendations

Follow the ETA and relevant approval instructions for substrate type, embedment depth and installation torque. Use the recommended setting tools for series work, and for dynamic or seismic installations ensure the specified filling disc or injection mortar is used to meet the approval requirements.
