How to use

Use an appropriate TX bit in a compatible drill or impact driver. Position the screw so the partially threaded shaft spans the joint to be clamped, allowing the unthreaded shank to pull the components together as the head is tightened. In most wood types the PowerFast II can be driven without pre-drilling thanks to its thread and tip design; however, pre-drilling is recommended for very hard or brittle woods and for edge-close placements. Apply steady pressure and drive at a controlled speed until the flange head sits flush against the surface.

Usage recommendations

For optimal performance, use a correct-size Torx bit, maintain battery charge for cordless drivers to ensure consistent torque, and consider pre-drilling in hardwoods or where minimal splitting risk is required. Store screws in a dry place to preserve the zinc plating.
