How to use

Select an appropriate TX bit matching the star recess and use a cordless or corded driver with torque control. Position the screw so the unthreaded shank section pulls the joined wooden components tightly together while the threaded portion engages the receiving timber. In most timber applications the PowerFast II can be driven without pre-drilling due to its core-cutter and tip design; however, pre-drilling is recommended for very close edge distances, hard or brittle wood species, or where precise alignment is required. Drive the screw until the flange head sits flush against the surface and the required clamp is achieved.

Usage recommendations

For longer fastener and battery life, use moderate torque settings and apply steady pressure during installation. Verify that zinc plating is suitable for the environment; choose stainless or hot-dip galvanized variants for higher corrosion resistance if required.
