Screw Fischer 566336 160 mm Zinc plated steel 50 pcs
Fischer PowerFast II FPF II-WTP BC is a wood construction screw made of zinc-plated steel, 160 mm long with a partial thread and a flange (washer) head. It features a TX (Torx) star recess drive and is supplied in a pack of 50 pieces. The screw is designed for timber connections where firm clamping and high head pull-through resistance are required; the partial thread and flange head enable secure joining of wooden elements and improved resistance when pulling components together.
The screw's patented core-cutter geometry provides precise milling and effective extraction of wood dust, allowing for small edge and center distances in diverse wood constructions. A tri‑ribbed tip achieves fast biting and pre‑milling, reducing splitting and permitting rapid setting. An increased thread pitch shortens installation time, and the shank‑miller matched to the core‑miller lowers screw‑in torque. The high‑performance easy‑glide coating further reduces driving torque for smoother installation and longer battery life. Compared with countersunk head screws, the larger flange head gives higher pull‑out resistance and better performance when clamping components together.
Place the screw so the partially threaded shank crosses the interface between the two wooden components to be clamped. Use a TX/Torx driver bit that matches the star recess and drive the screw with a drill or impact driver at controlled speed. The tri‑ribbed tip and core‑cutter geometry allow for quick bite and reduced splitting; in most soft and many hardwood applications pre‑drilling may be reduced or omitted depending on material and edge distances. Apply steady pressure and allow the shank ribs and easy‑glide coating to reduce driving torque for a smooth installation.
For highest performance, select a matching TX driver and avoid excessive speed at the start to reduce cam‑out. Where precise edge distances or hardwoods are involved, verify whether pilot drilling is required; follow local building regulations and the European Technical Assessment for structural applications.
