Fischer FFA 8 Aerated Concrete Anchor

The Fischer FFA 8 Aerated Concrete Anchor is a specialized fastening solution engineered specifically for secure installations in aerated concrete, also known as porous concrete. This anchor provides a reliable and stable connection, ensuring that fixtures remain firmly in place even in materials that are typically challenging for standard fasteners. With a pack size of 30 pieces, this product is designed to meet the needs of both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts looking for a dependable way to mount elements directly into porous building substrates.

Advantages

The primary advantage of the Fischer FFA 8 is its unique geometry, which is optimized to grip the porous structure of aerated concrete effectively. By distributing pressure evenly within the material, the anchor minimizes the risk of crumbling or structural damage during installation. This results in a high load-bearing capacity that provides peace of mind for various wall-mounted applications. The material composition is resistant to aging and environmental factors, ensuring long-term durability and safety for your installations.

Suitable for

• Mounting shelves and wall cabinets
• Installing electrical conduits and cable trays
• Attaching pictures, mirrors, and decorative wall elements
• Fixing lightweight construction components

When it may not be suitable

This anchor is specifically designed for aerated concrete and may not provide sufficient holding power in solid masonry, brick, or concrete. It is also not intended for heavy-duty structural steel connections or overhead applications that require specialized safety-rated anchors.

Key specifications

• Material: High-quality plastic
• Compatibility: Aerated concrete (porous concrete)
• Quantity: 30 pieces per pack
• Application: Direct installation into porous substrates

How to use

To use the Fischer FFA 8, first drill a hole into the aerated concrete using a drill bit that matches the diameter of the anchor. Ensure the hole is cleaned of dust and debris to allow for optimal expansion. Insert the anchor into the hole until it is flush with the surface of the wall. Once positioned, insert the appropriate screw through the fixture and into the anchor, tightening it until the fixture is securely held against the wall.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your wall material is indeed aerated concrete.
• Ensure the screw length is appropriate for the thickness of the fixture being mounted.
• Check the weight of the object to ensure it falls within the recommended load capacity for aerated concrete fixings.

Usage recommendations

For the best results, always use a drill without hammer action when working with aerated concrete to prevent the material from breaking or creating an oversized hole.
