Advantages

These Fischer metal screws offer exceptional structural integrity and reliable performance when working with wood materials. The specialized thread design ensures quick bite and reduced splitting risks during installation, allowing for efficient and clean results. The T-profile connection ensures optimal power transmission, minimizing cam-out and protecting the drive tool during continuous driving. Built with high-grade metal materials, these fasteners deliver long-lasting connection stability across diverse indoor and light outdoor building applications.

Suitable for

• Carpentry and furniture assembly
• Wood construction and framing
• General home improvement tasks
• Professional carpentry work

When it may not be suitable

These screws are not recommended for heavy-duty structural applications involving materials other than wood, such as concrete, brick, or thick metal plates, without appropriate pre-drilling and anchors. They may also require specialized corrosion-resistant treatments if used in highly corrosive environments or continuous outdoor exposure where standard galvanized coatings are insufficient.

Key specifications

• Screw length: 40 mm
• Thread diameter: 5 mm
• Thread length: 3.4 cm
• Material: Metal
• Compatible material: Wood
• Drive type: T-profile
• Quantity per pack: 100 pieces

How to use

To use the Fischer PowerFast II screws effectively, ensure the wood surface is clean and free of debris before fastening. Align the pieces to be joined and select a compatible T-profile screwdriver bit for your power tool or manual driver. Place the screw perpendicularly against the wood surface and drive it in at a steady, controlled speed until the head sits flush with or slightly below the material surface. Pre-drilling may be necessary in hard wood species to prevent splitting near the edges.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 40 mm length and 5 mm diameter match the requirements of your specific wood project
• Ensure you have a compatible T-profile driver bit available for installation
• Check the package quantity of 100 pieces to ensure it meets the volume requirements of your task

Usage recommendations: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, when driving fasteners into wood. Store the remaining screws in a dry environment to maintain their galvanized finish and prevent premature corrosion.
