PLA 1.75 mm filament spool, Flashforge PTG1, Translucent Green, 1 kg
Flashforge PTG1 PLA 1.75 mm filament in Translucent Green is a 1 kg spool of standard-diameter biodegradable thermoplastic formulated for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept 1.75 mm PLA. The translucent green material produces printed parts with partial light transmission, making it suitable for visual models, decorative components and prototypes where color and partial translucency are important. The filament is designed for typical PLA printing temperatures and offers the ease of use, low shrinkage and reliable layer adhesion associated with polylactic acid.
This PLA filament provides consistent diameter and smooth surface quality for predictable extrusion and layer formation. Its translucent green color enables soft diffusion of light through thin walls while maintaining pleasant color saturation on thicker sections. The material’s low warping tendency reduces the need for heated build plates and simplifies first-layer adhesion. Flashforge PTG1 PLA is compatible with a wide range of consumer and prosumer FDM/FFF printers that accept 1.75 mm PLA filaments.
Load the 1.75 mm PLA filament into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer according to the printer manufacturer’s instructions. Use common PLA print settings: recommended nozzle temperature range typically between 190–220 °C and print bed temperature often at room temperature to 60 °C if required for adhesion. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and first-layer height for consistent flow. Print at moderate speeds and allow thin sections to cool gradually to keep translucency even across layers. Store the spool in a dry environment when not in use to maintain filament quality.
For best optical results, print thin-walled parts at lower layer heights (0.1–0.2 mm) and use moderate infill to enhance translucency. If stronger mechanical properties are required, consider adjusting infill patterns and percentage rather than increasing nozzle temperature. Keep filament dry in sealed packaging with desiccant to prevent nozzle clogging and reduced print quality.
