Cable Tester Fluke MicroScanner² Blue Yellow
The Fluke MicroScanner² Cable Tester is a compact, portable tool for verifying voice, data and video low-voltage cabling. It supports RJ11, RJ45 and coax connectors, displays graphical wiremap, pair lengths, distance to fault, cable ID and detects far-end devices. The unit is designed to reduce test time and technician error while supporting common shielding checks and operating on AA batteries.
The MicroScanner² combines multiple test modes into a single display, allowing simultaneous viewing of wiremap, pair length measurements and distance-to-fault readings. Integrated RJ11, RJ45 and coax ports remove the need for adapters. The easy-to-read LCD and lightweight, compact design (76 x 36 x 163 mm, 363 g) make it suitable for field use. Standby battery life and support for standard coax and patch cable IDs improve efficiency during installation and troubleshooting.
Connect the cable under test to the appropriate port (RJ45, RJ11 or coax) and power on the MicroScanner². View the graphical wiremap and pair length readings on the display to confirm correct wiring and identify any opens, shorts or split pairs. Use distance-to-fault measurements to locate cable problems along the run and verify cable ID or far-end device detection when troubleshooting network connections.
For reliable results, use fresh AA batteries, ensure connectors are clean and fully inserted, and verify cable shield continuity when working with shielded twisted-pair or coaxial cables. Follow standard safety practices for working near powered equipment and PoE-enabled devices.
