Foma Fomabrom 141 N Chamois 30.5x40.6 cm 10 sheets is a resin-coated black-and-white photographic paper with a warm chamois tonal finish. Sized for medium-format and contact printing, this paper is intended for darkroom use with enlargers and contact frames. It produces stable silver-based images with even gradation and predictable tonal response for both enlargements and contact prints.
The resin-coated surface ensures quick drying, low curl and easy handling during processing and mounting. The chamois tone imparts a warm, slightly brownish tint to midtones and highlights while maintaining neutral deep blacks. Consistent surface quality and emulsion uniformity deliver repeatable results across multiple sheets, making it suitable for both classroom and professional darkroom workflows.
Handle sheets by the edges in subdued light or under an appropriate safelight for darkroom papers. Expose using a contact frame or enlarger to achieve the desired density and contrast; test strips are recommended to determine exposure time. Process in developer, stop bath and fixer according to chemical manufacturer instructions and recommended temperatures. After fixing and thorough washing, allow sheets to dry flat or hang using non-reactive clips; resin-coated paper dries faster than fiber papers and requires less washing time.
For predictable chamois tonality, use a matched developer and maintain consistent processing times and temperatures. When mounting or framing, avoid direct contact with acidic backing materials and consider archival interleaving to preserve silver-based images.
