Drill bit FORTE MAS SDS-Plus 20 mm x 250/300 mm (model 18690)
FORTE MAS SDS-Plus 20 mm x 250/300 mm drill bit (model 18690) is a rotary-hammer accessory designed for SDS-Plus chucks. With a 20 mm cutting diameter, 250 mm working length and 300 mm total length, this bit is intended for drilling holes in concrete, masonry and similar mineral materials. The SDS-Plus shank ensures secure tool retention and stable rotation when used with compatible rotary hammer drills.
The FORTE MAS SDS-Plus bit combines a durable carbide tip geometry with a reinforced flute profile for efficient dust evacuation and longer service life. Its standard SDS-Plus shank provides fast insertion and reliable locking in most SDS-Plus rotary hammers, reducing bit wobble and improving drilling accuracy. The 250 mm working length allows reaching deeper anchor points while the 300 mm overall length gives room for handling and bit changes.
Fit the bit into an SDS-Plus rotary hammer according to the drill manufacturer's instructions, ensuring it locks into place. Select the rotary hammer’s hammer-drilling mode and apply steady axial pressure while keeping the drill aligned with the desired hole axis. Allow the bit and tool to do the work; avoid excessive lateral force. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear debris and allow cooling when drilling extended depths. After finishing, retract the bit fully and remove it from the chuck following the tool’s release procedure.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask) and, when possible, enable dust extraction or wet drilling methods to reduce airborne particles. For reinforced concrete, start with lower feed pressure and increase gradually. Replace the bit once cutting performance declines or the carbide tip shows wear.
