Fujifilm X-T50 MILC 40.2 MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR 7728 x 5152 pixels Black
The Fujifilm X-T50 is a compact mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera (MILC) with a 40.2 MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor delivering up to 7728 x 5152 pixel resolution. Its rounded, classic-style body weighs approximately 438 g and combines tactile dials and a thumb grip for confident handling. The camera includes a 2.36M-dot electronic viewfinder, a tilting 3" touchscreen, in-body image stabilization up to 7 stops, and extensive photo and video tools such as 20 Film Simulation modes, subject-detection autofocus powered by deep-learning AI, and internal 6.2K video recording in 4:2:2 10-bit.
The X-T50 offers high-resolution image quality from a fifth-generation X-Trans sensor paired with the X-Processor 5, improved low-light performance with native ISO 125 and an ISO range up to 51200, and up to 7.0-stop IBIS for sharper handheld shots. Physical dials including a new Film Simulation dial and an aperture ring (on compatible lenses) enable quick, tactile control. Advanced autofocus with subject detection and updated AF prediction improves tracking of moving subjects, while video features such as 6.2K internal recording, 4K/60p, high-speed 1080/240p, F-Log2 and Frame.io Camera to Cloud support expand production workflows.
Attach a compatible Fujifilm X-mount lens and set the camera power on. Use the top-plate dials for shutter speed, exposure compensation and the Film Simulation dial to select a color profile quickly. Frame using the EVF or tilting LCD, set autofocus mode (single, continuous, Zone or Wide/Tracking) and, if needed, touch the subject on the rear screen to engage subject tracking. For video, choose the desired resolution and frame rate in the menu (e.g., 6.2K/30p or 4K/60p), enable F-Log2 if extended dynamic range is required, and record. Transfer files or control the camera remotely using FUJIFILM XApp or upload directly via Frame.io Camera to Cloud when connected to the internet.
For best image quality, shoot at native ISO 125 when light allows; enable IBIS and use appropriate shutter speeds for handheld shots. When tracking moving subjects, set AF-C with Wide/Tracking AF and refine focus using touch tracking on the rear LCD. Use Film Simulation and in-camera analog effects for quick creative results, and record in F-Log2 for maximum post-production latitude when grading video.
