Sensor Garni technology GARNI029 White LCD battery-powered outdoor temperature sensor ±40–70°C, 60 m range, 433.95 GHz
Garni technology GARNI029 is a battery-powered outdoor temperature sensor with a clear white LCD that displays measured values. The device measures ambient outdoor temperature in the range of -40 to 70 °C and transmits readings wirelessly at 433.95 GHz to compatible receivers. Compact dimensions (49×95×32 mm) and low power consumption make this sensor suitable for monitoring outdoor or semi-outdoor environments where a simple, standalone temperature display and wireless data link are required.
The sensor combines a wide measurement range with a readable LCD and battery operation, allowing placement where mains power is not available. Wireless transmission up to 60 m enables remote monitoring without additional wiring. Lightweight and compact design facilitates mounting on walls, in sheds or near windows while maintaining durable performance for general ambient temperature tracking.
Insert the required 1.5 V batteries into the battery compartment following the polarity markings and place the sensor in a location with good exposure to outdoor air while avoiding direct rain or prolonged water exposure. Turn on the unit according to the manufacturer’s instructions and ensure the receiving display or base unit is set to the matching reception frequency. Allow a short stabilization period for the sensor to reach ambient temperature before taking readings. For reliable wireless reception, position the sensor and receiver within the specified range and avoid mounting near large metal objects that can block the signal.
For accurate long-term readings, replace batteries before they run down and install the sensor under a small shelter or eave to protect it from direct precipitation and direct sunlight, which can affect measurement accuracy. Check the receiver placement and re-sync if radio interference is suspected.
