GBC LeatherGrain Thermal Binding Covers provide a quick way to create a perfect-bound, paperback-style finish for A4 documents. These pre-formed PVC covers are 3 mm thick, transparent on the front and LeatherGrain textured on the back, and are supplied in packs of 100. Each cover includes a pre-applied high-contact adhesive strip designed to penetrate the paper fibres and form a secure, integrated spine without the need for holes, tapes or fasteners.

How to use

Prepare and collate your A4 pages, ensuring the document edges are squared. Insert the collated pages into a LeatherGrain Thermal Binding Cover with the adhesive spine aligned. Place the cover and pages into a compatible thermal binding unit that has reached the ready temperature. Follow the machine prompts for binding time — the exact duration depends on the thermal binder model. After the machine signals completion, remove the bound document and allow it to cool for approximately 30 seconds (variable with room temperature) to achieve maximum bond strength.

Usage recommendations

For best results use the correct cover capacity for the thickness of your document and ensure pages are neatly squared before binding. Allow the document to cool fully before handling to secure the adhesive bond.
