Pliers Gedore 1550969
Gedore 1550969 pliers are designed for heavy continuous use and provide precise cutting performance. The tool features induction-hardened cutting edges with a hardness of 62–64 HRC and is suitable for cutting flat and round materials, including all wire types up to piano wire 1.6 mm. Made from Gedore special hardened and tempered steel with a chrome-plated finish, the pliers include handles equipped with VDE insulating sleeves rated to 1000 V according to EN 60900/IEC 60900.
The pliers offer durable, wear-resistant cutting edges due to induction hardening and a robust steel construction. Chrome plating protects the tool against corrosion while ensuring easy cleaning. VDE-insulated handles provide electrical safety up to 1000 V, and the lever action gives good mechanical advantage for easier cutting with reduced hand force. Compact dimensions and a weight of 369 g make the tool manageable for extended use.
Position the pliers so the material to be cut is seated close to the cutting edges. Apply steady, even pressure on the handles using the lever action to make the cut. For insulated electrical work, verify the VDE insulation is intact before use and ensure the circuit is de-energized when possible. Use the appropriate hand position to maintain control and avoid twisting the tool while cutting piano wire or other hard materials.
Inspect cutting edges regularly for wear and re-sharpen or replace the tool if performance decreases. Keep the chrome-plated surfaces clean and lightly oiled to prevent corrosion. Do not exceed the specified wire diameter and avoid using the pliers on hardened bolts or nails to prevent damage to the cutting edges. For electrical work, always follow applicable safety procedures and standards.
