Tool not categorized Gedore 1879383
Gedore 1879383 is a light, versatile hacksaw designed for cutting metal and other materials. The tool combines a pressure-cast aluminium frame with an ergonomic soft rubber handle and a bimetal 407 A saw blade. The blade is held and tensioned by a blue clamping element integrated into the handle; the clamping piece can be adjusted by 40° to accommodate different cutting angles and positions. Packed as a single piece, the saw weighs 0.055 kg.
The saw features a pressure-cast aluminium frame that keeps weight low while maintaining rigidity. An ergonomic soft rubber grip improves handling and comfort during use. Blade mounting and tensioning are simplified by a rotatable blue clamping element in the handle, and the adjustable clamping piece (±40°) increases setup flexibility. The included bimetal 407 A blade offers durability for metal cutting tasks.
Fit the bimetal 407 A blade into the frame and engage the blue clamping element by turning it to tension the blade. Adjust the clamping piece angle up to 40° as required for the cutting position. Hold the ergonomic soft rubber handle with a firm but comfortable grip and perform steady forward and backward strokes appropriate for the material being cut. Inspect the blade periodically and replace it when wear reduces cutting performance.
Use the saw for light to medium metal cutting tasks; wear appropriate eye protection and gloves. Secure workpieces in a vice or clamp before cutting and avoid excessive lateral force on the blade to extend its service life.
