Combination Wrench Gedore 2297078
The Gedore 2297078 combination wrench is a lightweight, compact tool designed for reliable fastening and loosening of nuts and bolts. It features an open end and a ratcheting box end of the same size, a UD (hollow) profile for reduced weight and comfortable handling, and a matt chrome finish for a non-glare appearance. The wrench is hot forged from Gedore vanadium steel (31CrV3) with precisely ground jaws and warp-resistant geometry that provides high torque transfer and long service life. With a working angle that varies by size (7° for 8–15 mm, 6° for 16–27 mm, and 5° for 30–36 mm), it is suitable for use in confined spaces and for rapid ratchet action when combined with adapters (7 RA or 7 RB, sold separately).
The hollow UD profile reduces weight while maintaining strength through a double T-girder effect; the ratchet mechanism allows for fast tightening and ratchet loosening with high torque transfer; matt chrome plating reduces glare and the pawl and locking insert are manganese-phosphated for improved durability. Hot forging and exact jaw grinding ensure precise fit to spanner size and consistent performance.
Select the correct wrench size for the fastener and position the open end or the ratcheting box end on the nut or bolt. For continuous tightening or loosening without repositioning, use the ratchet end; if needed, fit the adaptor 7 RA or 7 RB (ordered separately) to convert the spanner into a (bit) ratchet. Apply steady force, taking advantage of the wrench's high torque transfer and comfortable hollow profile. Avoid using the tool as a hammer or with excessive impact loads.
Use the wrench within its specified size range and working angles, keep it clean and lightly oiled to protect the manganese-phosphated parts, and store in a dry place. Order adaptors 7 RA or 7 RB separately when a bit-ratchet function is required.
