Combination Wrench Gedore 2297396
The Gedore 2297396 combination wrench is a precision hand tool designed for efficient tightening and loosening of fasteners. It combines a ring end with a ratcheting mechanism and an open spanner profile to deliver high torque transfer and a reliable grip. The tool is made from Gedore vanadium steel (31CrV3), hot forged and matt chrome-plated for a non-glare finish. The jaw is ground to the spanner size and the geometry features a warp-resistant double T-girder effect. When used with adaptor 7 RA or 7 RB (ordered separately) the wrench can function as a bit ratchet.
The ring end has a 13° offset from the shaft and a UD profile for a secure engagement; the working angle of the ratchet is 7° for sizes 8–15 mm and 6° for sizes 16–24 mm. The ratchet allows ratchet loosening and fast tightening with lever change. The hollow shaft lowers weight and improves handling while maintaining strength. Critical components such as the locking insert and pawl are manganese-phosphated for durability. The combination of classic spanner jaws, a stable hollow shaft and a refined U-20 ratchet mechanism ensures consistent performance and high torque capability.
Select the wrench size that matches the bolt or nut. Apply the open spanner end or engage the ring end over the fastener. For ratcheting action, set the lever to the desired direction and operate with short strokes; use the lever change for rapid tightening or ratchet loosening. When required, fit adaptor 7 RA or 7 RB (sold separately) to use the wrench as a bit ratchet. Store the tool dry and clean after use.
Do not apply impact loads or use the wrench as a hammer. Use the correct size to avoid jaw damage. Inspect the ratchet mechanism periodically and keep it free of heavy contamination; lubricate according to workshop practice. Order adaptors 7 RA or 7 RB separately if bit ratchet function is needed.
