Cable cutter Gedore 2910950
The Gedore 2910950 cable cutter features a slender head designed for working in confined spaces and for precise cutting of medium-hard wire up to 1.6 mm. The tool is made of Gedore special hardened and tempered steel with chrome plating and has induction-hardened precision cutting edges with a hardness of 63–65 HRC. Handles are fitted with VDE insulating sleeves certified up to 1000 V according to EN 60900/IEC 60900.
Slender head allows access in tight areas while maintaining cutting accuracy. Induction-hardened cutting edges (63–65 HRC) provide long-lasting sharpness and wear resistance. The Gedore special hardened and tempered steel construction with chrome plating increases durability and corrosion resistance. VDE-insulated handles provide user protection when working near live circuits up to 1000 V in compliance with EN 60900/IEC 60900.
Position the slender head of the cutter around the conductor so the cutting edges enclose the wire at the intended cutting point. Apply steady, even pressure to the handles until the wire is severed. For tighter spaces, adjust hand position to maintain a stable grip and ensure the cutting edges remain aligned. Follow standard safety practices for electrical work: de-energize circuits when possible and verify absence of voltage before cutting. Use the VDE-insulated handles when working near live parts up to the rated 1000 V.
Do not exceed the specified cutting capacity of 1.6 mm for medium-hard wire. Regularly inspect cutting edges for wear and keep them clean and free of debris. Avoid cutting hardened steel or materials beyond the recommended specification to prevent damage to the blades. Store the tool dry and apply light lubrication to the joint if needed to maintain smooth operation.
