The Gedore 2964031 manual pipe cutter is a compact, lightweight tool for making precise cuts in a range of pipe materials. Weighing 335 g, it combines a durable pressure-cast magnesium body with a replaceable cutting wheel and an integrated deburring tool stored in the handle. The housing is enamelled blue.
The cutter accepts changeable cutting wheels without tools and includes a spare wheel kept in the handle. A retractable deburring tool provides clean edges after cutting. The pressure-cast magnesium body offers good strength at low weight, while the compact design improves handling and access in confined spaces.
Place the pipe in the cutter jaw and tighten the tool until the cutting wheel contacts the pipe. Rotate the cutter around the pipe while progressively tightening until the pipe is cut through. After cutting, extend the retractable deburring tool from the handle and run it around the inner and outer edges to remove burrs and achieve a clean finish. Replace the cutting wheel by removing it from the mounting and inserting the spare wheel stored in the handle, following the same orientation.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves and eye protection. For best results, ensure the cutting wheel is sharp and replace it when cuts become uneven. Do not apply excessive bending or twisting forces to thin-walled pipes after cutting.
