Impact Socket Gedore 6122780
Gedore 6122780 impact socket is a hand-operated hexagon socket with square drive according to DIN 3120 - C 12.5 and ISO 1174. Made from Gedore vanadium steel 31CrV3, it is designed for use with impact wrenches and heavy-duty fastening tasks. The tool features VDE insulation rated up to 1000 V according to EN 60900/IEC 60900 with two-ply Check-Tool insulation and an insulation overhang of 16–18 mm. Sizes 27, 30 and 32 have a non-standardised diameter d1.
The socket combines impact-capable construction with high-strength 31CrV3 vanadium steel for increased durability. VDE-certified two-layer insulation provides electrical protection up to 1000 V for safer work on or near live installations. Compact dimensions (depth 29 mm, height 29 mm) and low weight (67 g) make the socket easy to handle in confined spaces and for repetitive use.
Select the correct socket size for the hexagon fastener and attach it to a compatible impact wrench with the matching square drive. Ensure the socket is fully engaged on the fastener before applying torque. When working on or near live electrical parts, rely on the VDE insulation but also de-energise circuits whenever possible. Inspect the socket regularly for wear, cracks in the insulation, or deformation before use.
Do not exceed the rated torque of the socket and avoid using the socket with hand tools or extensions that may compromise the VDE insulation. Replace the tool if the insulation shows damage, and follow applicable safety standards when working on electrical systems.
