Torque Wrench Mechanical Gedore 6144240
The Gedore 6144240 is a mechanical torque wrench designed for precise torque application in confined spaces, commonly required in automotive work and general mechanical maintenance. Made from Gedore vanadium steel (31CrV3) with chrome plating, it provides reliable strength and corrosion resistance while remaining lightweight at approximately 476 g.
This torque wrench features a fine-toothed, non-slip metal disc change mechanism with 72 teeth and a 5° return angle for accurate incremental adjustments in tight areas. It includes a non-slip two-component handle with a hanging hole for convenient storage and a ball locking device compatible with hand-operated sockets and accessories with a 12.5 mm (C 12.5) square drive according to DIN 3120 and ISO 1174 standards.
Select the correct socket for the fastener and attach it to the 12.5 mm square drive. Set the required torque according to the tool calibration markings and adjust the fine-toothed ratchet as needed. Apply steady force until the wrench indicates the set torque. Use the 5° return angle to work in restricted spaces and operate the ratchet in short strokes when necessary. After use, release torque setting to minimum and store the tool in a dry place.
Use the Gedore 6144240 for tasks requiring controlled torque in confined areas; check calibration periodically and avoid using the wrench as a breaker bar or for impact work. Keep the tool clean and lightly lubricated on moving parts to maintain performance.
