Pliers Gedore 6416180
Gedore 6416180 pliers are slim-profile hand tools designed for precise gripping and adjustment in confined spaces. Manufactured from Gedore special chrome-vanadium steel, the tool features induction-rehardened serrated faces and a safety box joint with protection against blocking. The pliers provide fine adjustment with multiple settings and a single-hand push-button for quick size changes, and come in different handle finishes: steel-grey with blue-dipped protectors or chrome-plated with two-component handles.
The long slim jaws and slender pliers head allow access to hard-to-reach areas. Offset gripping faces enable self-gripping of nuts and pipes to reduce slippage. The induction-rehardened serrations increase durability of the gripping surfaces, while the safety box joint protects against accidental blocking. Single-hand push-button adjustment and multiple fine settings ensure accurate and quick size selection.
Select the required jaw opening using the single-hand push-button and set the fine adjustment to the appropriate setting. Position the long slim jaws around the nut, pipe or workpiece so that the offset gripping faces engage securely. Apply steady hand pressure to grip and turn the workpiece, using the slender head to reach confined areas. After use, close the pliers and store in a tool drawer or toolbox to protect the serrated faces.
For best performance, choose the pliers size and setting that allow the maximum number of teeth on the serrated faces to contact the workpiece. Keep the jaws clean and periodically check the joint for smooth action; lubricate the joint if necessary. Do not use the pliers on live electrical circuits.
