Open End Wrench Gedore 6588040
The Gedore 6588040 open end wrench is a compact, precision-made hand tool designed for tightening and loosening hexagonal nuts and bolts. Manufactured from Gedore 31CrV3 vanadium steel and produced in accordance with DIN 895, ISO 3318 and ISO 1085 standards, the wrench has jaws set at a 15° angle for improved access in confined spaces. The tool weighs approximately 489 g and its compact dimensions make it suitable for professional and home workshops.
The wrench combines high-strength 31CrV3 vanadium steel construction with a corrosion-resistant surface finish: manganese-phosphate coating for sizes up to 34x36 mm and a steel-grey finish for sizes from 36x41 mm and larger. The standardized design (where applicable) and precisely machined jaws deliver reliable fit and durability, while the 15° jaw angle enhances usability in tight spots.
Select the correct wrench size for the nut or bolt to ensure full jaw engagement. Position the open end over the fastener with the jaws aligned and apply steady force to turn. Use the 15° offset to reach fasteners in restricted spaces by flipping the wrench as needed. Avoid excessive impact or bending loads that could damage the tool or fastener.
Inspect the wrench before use for wear or deformation and keep it clean and lightly oiled to preserve the finish. Do not use the wrench as a hammer or pry bar; if higher torque is required, use an appropriately sized tool or a torque wrench to avoid damaging fasteners or the tool.
