Pliers Gedore 6702350
Gedore 6702350 pliers are designed for fitting and removing retaining rings compliant with DIN 471, DIN 983 and DIN 5254 Form B. The pliers feature 90° angled tips, an opening spring and clamping protection. Made from Gedore chrome‑vanadium special hardened and tempered forged steel, the tool is precision machined, oil hardened and annealed. Handles are black with red dipped grips for improved handling. Dimensions: width 78 mm, height 58 mm, weight 97 g.
The 90° angled tips allow access to rings in tight or recessed locations. The integrated opening spring speeds repetitive work and improves user control. Clamping protection reduces the risk of damaging fasteners and workpieces. Forged chrome‑vanadium steel with heat treatment ensures wear resistance and long tool life. Compact size and light weight make the pliers easy to position and manoeuvre.
Select the appropriate tips for the retaining ring type and place the 90° angled tips into the ring grooves. Squeeze the handles gently to compress or expand the ring as required, using the opening spring to return the jaws between operations. Observe clamping protection to avoid excessive force that could deform the ring or damage surrounding components. Release pressure slowly when seating the ring to ensure correct positioning.
Inspect the pliers before use for wear or damage and ensure the tips fit the ring groove. Use safety glasses when working with retaining rings under tension. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent corrosion and periodically apply light oil to the joint for smooth operation.
