Pliers Gedore 6702430
Gedore 6702430 pliers are forged from Gedore chrome-vanadium special hardened and tempered steel with precision machining, oil hardening and annealing. They feature 90° angled tips, an opening spring and clamping protection. The handles are black with red-dipped grips. The tool is sized approximately 105 mm wide, 64 mm high and weighs about 182 g.
Forged chrome-vanadium steel construction provides high strength and wear resistance. Precision machining and heat treatment ensure consistent tip fit and reliable performance for retaining rings conforming to DIN 471, DIN 983 and DIN 5254 Form B. The opening spring speeds operation and the clamping protection reduces the risk of slipping. Ergonomic red-dipped handles improve grip and user comfort.
Select the correct plier orientation so the 90° angled tips engage the retaining ring securely. Place the tips into the ring eyes or notches and squeeze the handles to compress or expand the ring as required. The opening spring assists in returning the pliers to the open position between operations. Use the clamping protection to maintain controlled grip and reduce slippage while installing or removing retaining rings.
Use the Gedore 6702430 pliers only on retaining rings that match DIN 471, DIN 983 or DIN 5254 Form B specifications. Inspect tips for wear before use and avoid applying excessive force beyond the tool's design. Keep the tool clean and lightly lubricate pivot joints after use to maintain smooth operation and corrosion resistance.
