Pliers Gedore 6708630
The Gedore 6708630 pliers are automatic wire strippers that open with a spring and an adjusting screw. They feature V-shaped cutting jaws for stripping plastic insulation from single- and multi-core conductors and are made from Gedore special hardened and tempered steel. Two finish options are available: JC (chrome-plated, with 2-component handles) and TL (steel-grey, with blue dipped non-slip handles). Dimensions: 135 mm width, 63 mm height, weight 198 g.
Automatic opening with a spring and an adjusting screw ensures efficient one-handed operation; V-shaped jaws provide precise removal of insulation from a wide range of conductor types; adjuster and counter screws allow quick setting to the desired wire or flex diameter; made from drop-forged, oil-hardened and annealed steel for long service life; compact and lightweight design supports comfortable handling.
Set the adjuster and counter screw to match the diameter of the wire or flex. Place the conductor into the V-shaped cutting jaws at the required stripping length, squeeze the handles to cut the insulation and pull the tool away to remove the insulation. The spring-assisted opening returns the pliers ready for the next operation. For consistent results, verify the setting on a scrap piece of cable before stripping the final conductor.
Use within the specified wire range (0.8–6.0 mm) and avoid excessive force beyond the tool's capacity. Keep the cutting jaws clean and lightly lubricated after use to maintain the hardened steel surface. Select the JC or TL finish based on preference for corrosion resistance or handle grip.
