Socket Wrench Gedore 8132-160 JC
The Gedore 8132-160 JC is a hand tool with long, flat-round jaws and straight gripping faces designed for holding, gripping, bending and cutting tasks. It combines induction-hardened precision cutting edges with Gedore special hardened and tempered steel for durability. The JC version features chrome plating and two-component handles for improved corrosion resistance and handling. The tool is 160 mm long and intended for mechanical and automotive use where precise grip and cutting are required.
Long flat-round jaws with serrated straight faces provide secure gripping and controlled bending. Induction-hardened cutting edges (61–63 HRC) ensure wear resistance and long cutting life. Gedore special hardened and tempered, drop-forged steel construction gives high strength and durability. Chrome plating on the JC model and two-component handles improve corrosion resistance and ergonomics.
Position the jaws around the workpiece so the serrated faces make full contact, then apply steady pressure to hold or bend the part. For cutting, place the wire or small fastener between the cutting edges near the hinge and squeeze the handles firmly in a single controlled motion. Use the tool within its intended size and material limits to avoid damaging the cutting edges or the jaws.
Regularly clean and lightly oil the joint and cutting area to maintain smooth operation and prevent corrosion. Avoid cutting hardened steel or materials beyond the specified capacity. Store the tool dry and inspect cutting edges periodically; reconditioning or replacement is recommended if the induction-hardened edges become chipped or worn.
