Plier Gedore 7678160
Plier Gedore 7678160 is a multifunctional plier designed for mechanical and electronic work. It combines holding, cutting, insulation-stripping and crimping functions in a compact tool. The plier features flat-round jaws with straight, serrated gripping faces and induction-hardened precision cutting edges with a hardness of 62–64 HRC. It is made of Gedore special hardened and tempered steel, drop-forged, oil-hardened and annealed. Two finish variants are available: JC chrome-plated with 2-component handles and TL steel-grey with blue dipped non-slip handles. Nominal cutting capacity for medium-hard wire is up to 1.6 mm. The tool measures approximately 105 mm in width, 65 mm in height and weighs about 180 g.
The Gedore 7678160 plier offers durable, precision-cutting edges and serrated gripping faces for reliable hold and manipulation. Its hardened and tempered steel construction with drop-forging and oil-hardening ensures long service life and resistance to wear. Compact dimensions and ergonomic handles provide comfortable operation and good control for fine mechanical and electronic tasks. The plier’s ability to cut medium-hard wire up to 1.6 mm and perform insulation stripping and crimping makes it a versatile workshop tool.
Use the plier to grip, twist or hold small parts with the serrated jaws. For cutting, position the wire between the induction-hardened cutting edges and apply steady pressure until the wire is severed; the tool is suitable for medium-hard wire up to 1.6 mm. Use the flat-round section and straight faces for insulation stripping and delicate manipulation. For crimping or squeezing terminals, align the connector in the appropriate jaw area and squeeze firmly to form the crimp. Keep movements controlled to avoid damaging conductors or insulation.
Inspect the plier before use for damage or excessive wear to cutting edges; do not use on wire harder or larger than specified (over 1.6 mm). Clean and lightly oil the joint periodically to maintain smooth operation. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion and choose the handle finish (JC or TL) according to preference for grip and corrosion resistance.
