Screw/Bolt Extractor Gedore 7690290
The Gedore 7690290 Screw/Bolt Extractor is made from chrome-vanadium steel with a hardness of 35 HRC. It is intended for removing broken, damaged, or stripped screws and bolts by drilling a central pilot hole and turning the extractor into the hole to grip and extract the fastener.
Constructed from chrome-vanadium steel for strength and wear resistance. 35 HRC hardness balances toughness and durability. Designed to grip broken bolts securely when turned counterclockwise. Compatible with standard drilling and hand-turning procedures; may be used with penetrating oil to aid removal. Choose the largest extractor size that fits the drilled hole to maximize grip.
Drill a central hole into the broken bolt sized according to the extractor table. Insert the extractor into the drilled hole and turn it to the left (counterclockwise) until it bites and removes the bolt. Penetrating oil can be applied to help loosen seized fasteners. Always select the largest extractor that fits the drilled hole to ensure the best grip.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment when drilling. Start with a pilot drill and increase size as needed to match the extractor. Apply steady, controlled torque when turning the extractor to avoid further damage to the fastener or tool.
