Hammer Gedore 8581960
Forged hammer head made to DIN 1041, fitted on a contoured wooden handle (ash E 600 E or hickory E 600 H) manufactured to DIN 5111. The handle is protected by a long hardened steel sleeve around the haft; a tapered collar, fixing plate and wood screw secure the head and handle as a single, durable unit. The Gedore 8581960 hammer has a compact head (depth 115 mm, height 80 mm) and a working weight of 502 g, providing reliable striking performance for general workshop and site tasks.
The forged head and the reinforced handle connection deliver high working safety and long service life. The contoured wooden handle offers a comfortable grip, while the hardened sleeve protects the haft from splitting and wear. The design follows DIN standards for consistent quality and provides a favourable price–performance ratio.
Hold the Gedore 8581960 hammer by the contoured wooden handle near the end of the haft for controlled strikes. Use the forged head for driving nails, light demolition, shaping or assembly tasks as appropriate. Check the head–handle connection and the protective sleeve regularly; do not use the hammer if the head is loose, the handle is cracked, or the sleeve is damaged.
For safe operation, wear appropriate eye protection and work gloves. Store the hammer in a dry place and inspect the handle and fixing plate before use. Replace the handle if it shows significant wear or damage to maintain the secure head connection.
