Hammer Gedore 8672410
Gedore 8672410 is a forged hammer with a wooden handle designed for general striking tasks. The head conforms to DIN 1041 and the handle is made from contoured ash (E 600 E) or hickory (E 600 H) according to DIN 5111. A tapered collar, fixing plate and wood screw secure the head to the handle, and a long hardened steel sleeve protects the handle from impact and wear. The hammer weighs 727 g, has a head depth of 120 mm and a head height of 30 mm.
The forged head and solid wood handle provide reliable impact performance and durable connection between head and handle. The long hardened steel sleeve increases handle life and reduces risk of damage at the striking area. Construction to DIN standards ensures consistent manufacturing quality and interchangeability.
Hold the Gedore 8672410 hammer by the handle with a firm grip and position the striking face squarely against the workpiece. Use controlled swings appropriate to the material and task. Inspect the head-to-handle joint before use and ensure the wood screw and fixing plate are secure. Replace the tool if the handle is cracked or the head becomes loose.
Use safety glasses and appropriate gloves when striking. For tasks requiring softer blows, select suitable striking surfaces or a different hammer type. Store the hammer in a dry place to protect the wooden handle and periodically check the protective steel sleeve and fastening components for wear.
