Hammer Gedore 8783160
The Gedore 8783160 hammer combines a durable steel tube handle with polyamide heads designed to resist splintering, shattering and wear. The heads have a hardness rating of 75 Shore D and are tested for use down to -20° C. The tool is finished with a silver hammer-effect powder coating. Dimensions: depth 125 mm, height 120 mm, weight 440 g.
Steel tube handle provides high strength and reduced flex compared with wooden handles. Polyamide heads are splinter-proof and shatter-proof, offering improved safety and longer service life; their 75 Shore D hardness balances impact resistance and material protection. The low-temperature rating (tested to -20° C) maintains performance in cold conditions. Powder-coated hammer-effect enamel improves corrosion resistance and surface durability.
Select the appropriate striking face and hold the hammer by the steel tube handle near its end for maximum control and force. Use controlled strikes to avoid excessive impact on the workpiece; the polyamide heads are intended to reduce surface damage compared with metal-headed hammers. Inspect the head and handle for damage before use and replace the tool if the head becomes cracked or deformed.
Store the hammer in a dry place and avoid exposing the polyamide heads to open flames or solvents. For tasks beyond light to medium striking, consider a suitable metal-headed hammer.
