Masonry Chisel Gedore 8759960
The Gedore 8759960 masonry chisel is made from chrome-molybdenum-vanadium air-hardening steel (45CrMoV7) and is precisely heat treated along its full length. The striking head receives inductive tempering and the working edge is polished and protected with a clear varnish. The tool is designed for controlled cutting and shaping of masonry materials and weighs approximately 100 g.
Manufactured from hardened 45CrMoV7 steel for wear resistance and durability. Full-length hardening and tempered striking head increase resistance to impact. Polished working edge provides precise cutting performance. Clear varnish helps protect the metal surface from corrosion during storage and use.
Hold the chisel firmly by the shank with one hand, position the working edge against the masonry where material is to be removed or shaped, and strike the inductively tempered head with a hammer of appropriate weight. Use controlled, measured strikes to achieve precise cuts; for heavier removal, increase striking force gradually. Keep the chisel edge aligned with the intended cut and take safety precautions such as wearing eye protection and gloves.
Inspect the chisel before use for any cracks or deformation. Use a hammer suitable for masonry work and avoid excessive side loads on the shank. After use, clean off debris and store the chisel dry; reapply light protective oil if long-term storage is planned.
