The Gedore R69013024 socket set 24-piece 1/2 inch 10-32 mm chrome-vanadium steel is a comprehensive tool kit designed for various mechanical and repair applications. Featuring metric sockets ranging from 10 to 32 mm and a 1/2 inch drive, this set provides the reliability and precision expected from quality tool collections. The components are housed together for convenient storage and transport during daily workshop tasks or on-site maintenance.

Advantages

Constructed from durable chrome-vanadium steel, the tools in this set offer enhanced resistance to wear and regular mechanical stress. The inclusion of twenty different socket head variants ensures high versatility when working with multiple fastener sizes. The fine-toothed lever change ratchet with 72 teeth allows for smooth operation and precise movement in restricted working spaces.

Suitable for

• General mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks
• Automotive servicing involving metric fasteners
• Workshop assembly and disassembly work
• DIY projects requiring robust socket components

When it may not be suitable

This 1/2 inch socket set is generally oversized for delicate electronics repair, micro-mechanical tasks, or intricate watchmaking. Users requiring specialized non-metric sizing systems or insulated tools for electrical work will need alternative equipment.

How to use

Select the appropriate metric socket size matching your fastener and attach it firmly to the 1/2 inch drive ratchet or extension bar. Position the socket securely onto the bolt or nut, ensuring a complete and flush fit to prevent slipping or rounding of fastener edges. Use the lever mechanism on the ratchet head to change the working direction between tightening and loosening as required. Apply steady rotational force to complete your assembly or disassembly task efficiently.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 1/2 inch drive size matches your intended application scale
• Check that the metric size range from 10 to 32 mm covers your specific fastener requirements
• Assess available storage space in your workshop against the physical dimensions of the set case

Usage recommendations: Keep the ratchet mechanism clean and periodically lubricated with light machine oil to ensure longevity. Store all components securely in their designated slots within the protective case after each use to prevent loss and minimize exposure to moisture.
