Socket 12-point 1/2" GEKO model G12219 Cr-V 19 mm
GEKO 12-point 1/2" socket G12219 is a 19 mm hand tool made from chrome-vanadium (Cr-V) steel for use with 1/2" drive ratchets and torque wrenches. The 12-point profile allows engagement with fasteners in confined spaces and on bolts with limited access, providing multiple contact positions to reduce the risk of rounding. The socket’s material and finish are chosen to balance strength and corrosion resistance for routine maintenance and repair tasks.
The 12-point design enables easier alignment with fasteners and more engagement angles compared with a 6-point socket, helping to access bolts where space is restricted. Manufactured from chrome-vanadium steel, this 19 mm socket provides durability and wear resistance under repeated use. Compatibility with standard 1/2" drive tools ensures it can be used with common ratchets, extensions and torque wrenches, while the compact profile aids work in tight engine bays and machinery housings.
Select the 19 mm GEKO socket and attach it securely to a 1/2" drive ratchet, breaker bar or torque wrench. Place the socket fully onto the fastener head to ensure full contact across the 12 points, then apply turning force. When using a torque wrench, set the required torque value and tighten steadily until the wrench indicates the target. For removal, use controlled force and, if necessary, apply penetrating lubricant before attempting to loosen seized fasteners.
Use with compatible 1/2" drive tools only. Inspect the socket for cracks or deformation before use and replace if damaged. Avoid using impact tools with a socket not rated for impact; use appropriate impact-rated sockets for pneumatic or high-torque impact wrenches.
