Grinding Stones GEKO set of 5, 6 mm shank, grits 1/20/80/120
Grinding Stones GEKO set of 5, 6 mm shank, grits 1/20/80/120
Set of five GEKO grinding stones with 6 mm shanks, offering grit sizes 1, 20, 80 and 120 for a range of material removal and finishing tasks. These compact rotary-tool stones are designed to fit standard die grinders and rotary tools with a 6 mm collet or chuck, enabling shaping, deburring and surface refinement on metals, stone, ceramic and other hard materials. The set combines coarse and fine grits to cover aggressive stock removal through to final smoothing.
The GEKO grinding stones set provides a selection of abrasive grains in different sizes to match task requirements, reducing the need to change tools frequently. The 6 mm shanks ensure compatibility with common rotary tools and die grinders. Stones are compact and interchangeable, allowing precise control during detail work and access to tight or curved surfaces. Using progressively finer grits from coarse to fine enables efficient workflow from rough shaping to finishing without damaging the workpiece when used correctly.
Select the appropriate grit for the task, starting with a coarser stone for aggressive material removal and progressing to finer grits for smoothing and finishing. Secure the 6 mm shank in the tool chuck or collet according to the rotary tool manufacturer's instructions, and run the tool at a suitable speed for the material being worked. Apply steady, light pressure and move the stone across the surface to avoid concentrated heat and excessive wear. Allow the abrasive to do the cutting rather than forcing the tool.
For safety and optimal results, wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, dust mask and gloves, and use moderate tool speeds for small-diameter stones. Inspect the workpiece and stone regularly, replace worn stones, and choose progressively finer grits to achieve the desired surface finish.
