Carpenter's Square GEKO 185×185×260 mm, 4 mm thickness
GEKO Carpenter's Square 185×185×260 mm, 4 mm thickness is a metal layout tool designed for measuring and checking right angles, marking, and aligning components in woodworking and light masonry. The rigid construction provides stable straight edges for transferring perpendicular lines, checking square joints and guiding cuts on timber, boards and brickwork. Its compact triangular shape and clear edges make it suitable for use on benches, workpieces and building sites where reliable 90° references are required.
The robust metal body and 4 mm material thickness ensure resistance to bending and repeated use, providing consistent accuracy over time. Precisely formed edges give clear contact against workpieces for accurate marking and alignment. The compact dimensions allow easy handling in tight spaces while still offering long enough legs (185 mm and 260 mm) to reach across common workpieces. The tool’s simple design requires no calibration and is ready for immediate use.
Position the square so one leg sits flush against the edge of the workpiece and the other leg extends across the surface where the perpendicular line is required. Hold the square firmly to prevent movement and scribe a line along the edge with a pencil or marking knife. To check squareness of assembled parts, align one leg against a reference edge and observe any gaps or misalignment along the opposing leg; adjust the assembly until contact is uniform. For repetitive markings, hold the square steady or clamp it in place if the workpiece and workspace permit.
Store the square flat or hung by a dedicated slot to avoid bending. Keep edges clean and free of burrs; remove any debris before marking to maintain accuracy. When working on finished surfaces, protect the surface from scratches by placing a thin protective strip between the square and the workpiece if needed.
